We’ve been proud to offer our guests the height of hospitality and unforgettable holiday experiences here at North Lakes Country Park!

While we can always say that it’s our incredible selection of static caravans and luxury lodges, breath-taking scenery and fantastic location that makes our park one of the best in the Lake District, none of it would be the same without all the wonderful individuals, couples, families and friends who come to stay with us throughout the year.

If you’re still unsure about whether to make a holiday lodge investment, have a read of the testimonials from those who currently own a holiday home here at North Lakes below!

Here’s what the holiday homeowners at North Lakes have to say...

“its difficult to put such beauty into words, the glassy surface of the tarn itself, the land around it, breath-taking.   Our children have long flown the nest but our two families are still enjoying holiday’s here 40 years on with grandchildren".

“We've been coming to Silloth for around 10 years and drove past North Lakes numerous times.  In early 2023 we decided to view a number of static caravans with the hope of buying one.  Unfortunately due to a life changing health scare we were unable to commit to buying a van but aimed to return once recovered.  In June 2024 we returned to North Lakes and was met by Jayne who luckily had lots of patience for all of our questions.  We looked at several vans and discussed the potential benefits of each one.  We eventually decided to buy a caravan that met our needs as a couple and would allow family to visit.

Almost a year on, we still look in disbelief when we pull on to the entrance of North Lakes.  We feel a constant excitement that we can go pretty much any time around work commitments.   The site itself is so peaceful and has a heavenly feel about.  Jayne and Karl offer great support and nothing is ever too much trouble.  This is also reflected in the wider management of the site.  North Lakes is perfect in every way.  We still say to each other, that it’s the best thing we've ever done”.

"So many happy memories: canoeing and rowing on the tarn, once being “buzzed” by 2 low flying RAF Hercules aircraft, which churned up the water!  The wildlife spotting including: an Otter, Badgers, Osprey, and the hundreds of Whooper Swans landing on the tarn during autumn times en-route South from the Artic.  When the park was taken over in 2018 by the current owners we have been delighted with the parks new management".

"Having our holiday home at North Lakes has been one of the best decisions we made...  The feeling of chill hits us as soon as we turn into the winding drive and the views from our decking are simply  stunning .... breath-taking even".

"The Park Managers Jayne & Karl are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble, they go above and beyond to make sure our experience is unique.  North Lakes is our happy place, Sydney our border terrier barks in agreement".

“We have kept the same spot here for the last 25 years overlooking the tarn.  Such a beautiful setting.  We came here with our 2 daughters all those years ago just for a day out! Now our daughters & their families come here, our grandchildren adore it.  We have seen many changes over the years, but we still love coming to spend time at our caravan and could not imagine being anywhere else”.
